Understanding Labels
Almost every item of clothing comes with its own instruction manual, in the form of a handy care label. But do you know what all those little symbols on care labels mean? Here’s our quick guide for you.

Here's an easy one to start - the number in the tub tells you the maximum temperature you can wash this item at.

Means the item can handle a cotton wash, and maximum agitation.

Means the item needs a synthetics wash, with medium agitation.

Means the item wants a woollens wash, with minimum agitation.

Yep, hand wash only.

Means you can't wash this item - try dry cleaning instead.

If the iron symbol is crossed out - don't iron it

COOL iron (110 oC)(acrylic, nylon, acetate).

WARM iron (150oC) (polyester, mix, wool).

HOT iron (200oC) (cotton, linen).
